Content management system utilizes Get Simple model which uses XML for content storage. Client accesses the administration panel to manage pages, musicians, and trips.
Video utilizes HTML5 video tag with Flash fall-back, allowing it to play on non flash devices such as iphone and ipad.
USA Equipment Direct
USA Equipment Direct is an ecommerce store that utilizes an OSCommerce shopping cart. It has over 500 products in inventory.
Client accesses the administration panel to manage products, orders, send notices and newsletters, and access reports.
Routine data extracts from the website are used to populate multiple shopping sites, which boosts the visibility of the site, resulting in higher sales.
Zuffy's Place
Zuffy's Place is a restaurant / bar requiring not only a general web presence, but wanted to display a comprehensive menu to showcase the quality of food served. Additionally, Zuffy's is a live music venue that frequently books musicians, and needed a social calendar, as well as the ability to make frequent updates to the site.
The solution was to create a custom design built on a WordPress engine that provides the client an administration panel for changes to daily specials and occasional menu updates.
Art Car Proposal
This website delivers a proposal / concept for an art car shaped like a Jeannie Bottle. The intended audience is the board of directors who reviews artists' proposals and award art grants.
This site was built using flash and incorporates a flair of motion, sound, and interactivity to what would otherwise be a paper document.
This project was awarded partial funding.
Potluck Food Signup
This group needed a simple food bulletin board for people to sign up what they were bringing. No login or security was necessary, making it as simple as possible for people to use the site. The end result was a website that acted like a menu.
The background picture is the actual pavillion of where the event takes place.
A simple PHP bulletin board was built, utilizing mySQL database to store entries. The delete capability was removed, but users can freely add items.
Caricatures by Patrick
Patrick's website showcases his own artwork as the design. A white canvas focuses the attention to his drawings. This black and white theme correlates with Patrick's art work, which is also black and white. A flash video demonstrates his swiftness of drawing, as he draws caricatures for an entire high school graduating class.
The portfolio/gallery page utilizes javascript to zoom in on each thumbnail of work, allowing the user to see all of the artwork but present it in a small amount of space. To demonstrate his credibility, quotes are "pulled" from the main text and called out as graphical elements to highlight them.
